Our Mission

Willingboro Flag Football Association (WFFA) was founded in 2025 by husband-and-wife duo Ken and Shakirra Howard, proud Willingboro residents and passionate community leaders. As parents, coaches, and youth advocates, we saw a growing need for structured, competitive, and character-building sports programs right here in our hometown. That vision gave birth to WFFA — a place where young athletes can develop their skills, their confidence, and their love for the game.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to create a safe, disciplined, and empowering environment for youth in Willingboro and the surrounding areas to learn and compete in the game of flag football. Whether it’s through our local recreational league or our elite travel program, Vapor, we offer opportunities for boys and girls ages 5–17 to thrive on and off the field.

Community First

WFFA is more than just football — it’s family. Our organization is deeply rooted in community involvement. We actively participate in local events, school partnerships, and youth mentorship programs. We believe every child deserves the chance to belong to something greater than themselves, and sports is one of the most powerful tools to teach responsibility, teamwork, and resilience. Our commitment to the youth of Willingboro is unwavering — because they are our future.

What Parents Can Expect

When you enroll your child in WFFA, you can expect:

  • Certified & Passionate Coaches – All of our coaches are trained, background-checked, and focused on player development, sportsmanship, and safety.

  • Skill Development – We focus on teaching fundamentals, agility, and football IQ appropriate to each age group.

  • Positive Environment – Our coaching culture emphasizes encouragement, accountability, and respect.

  • Family Engagement – We believe in building a community around our teams. Parents are welcome to volunteer, attend events, and be an active part of their child’s journey.

  • Competitive Play – Whether your child is just starting or looking to compete on a higher level through our Vapor travel teams, we offer a clear pathway for growth and excellence.

  • Discipline & Structure – Our players are taught the value of time management, discipline, and goal-setting — lessons they’ll carry with them long after the season ends.

At WFFA, your child isn’t just joining a team — they’re becoming part of a movement dedicated to building champions in life, not just on the field.
